Marketing is a really big part of any business. Marketing is something that has the power to turn a failing business, into one that’s put on the map. But it doesn’t just come overnight, and it takes some great techniques to try and make it happen. One of the biggest at the minute, is social media marketing. Luckily for businesses, we’re now going into an era where social media dominates people’s lives. Whether it be chatting to their friends, adding tweets or statuses, or just generally being nosey. It’s all of those people who you want to try and catch the interest of.
All you need to know is the basics of social media, and how to interact with the people using it. That’s where we want to try and help you. We think we’ve got some great tips that will help you to have a bigger social media presence. Have a read on to find out more.
Understanding Who To Target
Who to target is so important, and who to target will vary for different companies. For example, if you’re something that appeals to everyone, perhaps a food chain or a clothing brand, you’re going to want to try and target pretty much everyone. But you’re going to have to do it in such a way that will make you stand out, and that’s what we want to discuss later on in the article. If you’re more of a niche specific business, you’re going to have to try and target different individuals.
For example, if you’re someone who produces parts for sports cars, you’re going to really want to try and reach out for people who are into track racing, sport car companies etc. But, it’s easy enough to do, and you might find that it’s easy to pick up sales if you have the right reach to your customers. The last thing you want to do is go around trying to add everyone. You’re only going to waste your time, as they won’t be interested in what they’re seeing.
Understanding How To Target
How to target the people that you need to target varies from social media platform to social media platform. To begin with, we’ll talk about Twitter. You might already have your own personal Twitter, and you’ll realise everything is about hashtags. There’s a ranking of the top hashtags being used on Twitter, and one of them for example, could be #food. If you’re a food company, you could post delicious pictures and use that hashtag, and you would draw attention to your business.
On Instagram, it’s pretty similar. Make sure your account is open so anyone can access, and focus on the quality of picture that you’re taking. If you’re selling car parts, you want the best angle and added effects to make the part look dramatic and appealing. If you use hashtags, you will appear on people’s explore area, drawing their attention to your business that way.
With Facebook, you can post promotional posts or images, and pay for Facebook to boost the post to get more reach. It is a quick way of getting views by thousands of people, but you can’t guarantee whether these people are going to be interested in what you’re selling. However, you can guarantee that a fair few will be, so it’ll most likely be worth it for your marketing campaign.
Getting A Bigger Exposure
If you want to get a bigger exposure, you’re going to have to get yourself more likes. The more likes that appear, the quicker it spreads, and the quicker it becomes popular. You can get automatic instagram likes for a fee, that will help to boost your images around the Instagram explore area.
It’ll help give your business a sense of popularity on social media, which will draw people’s attention to your business. You can do the same on the other social media accounts, just make sure you’re going with a trusted company who won’t make it look like you actually have bought the likes.
Following The Right People
As we’ve said, you only want to follow the right people, and they’re usually the ones who are inspirational, or related to your business. It would not be professional for you to follow your customers, you can connect with them through the techniques that we’ve spoke about.
If you connect with the right people, and people with a high status on the social media pages, you might be able to get a retweet, or a mention, which would work wonders for your social media presence.
