Do you want to be a blogger but aren’t sure where to begin? One of the best ways to figure out what you like and want to build into your own blog is by browsing through other blog examples.
Before you begin scrolling through the blog examples listed below, here are a few things you should consider when planning your blog.
- What is the purpose of your blog?
- Is it professional or personal?
- Do you plan to sell a product or service?
- Are you sharing your expertise in a certain field?
- Are you solving a problem?
- What topics will you write about?
- How often do you want to write?

- What social media channels will you utilize in accordance with your blog?

These are just the basics to help you start creating a strategy for your blog to be successful.
From there, you’ll need to really dive into the details and bring your blogging project to life. Here are the materials that you will want to have ready when the time comes to begin building your blog.
- The site title
- A budget – will your website be on a free platform or is it a paid, self-hosted site?
- Your logo (if available, if not – text will do)
- Photos or graphics (have you tried Canva?)
- Words. And lots of them!
Don’t forget that like all projects, blogs come in phases. There are beginners, those who have been doing it for a while, and experts. While it’s hard not to compare sites to each other when you are looking at blog examples, keep in mind that some have had a few hours spent on them while others have had years of hard work from a team of people poured into them.
